Dr. Jason Ashcroft is a native of New Mexico and is excited to have returned to the southwest. He has missed the food and weather and is happy to be closer to his family. Dr. Ashcroft received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated with honors. He then furthered his education on all aspects of dentistry by completing a General Practice Residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Bethlehem, PA where he received valuable experience in endodontic and surgical procedures. Dr. Ashcroft specialized in pediatric and adolescent dentistry at the University of Indiana and Riley Hospital for Children. While there, he also received a Master's of Science in Dentistry degree, with a minor in psychology. His pediatric training has prepared him to treat children from infancy to adolescence including those with special needs and disabilities. Dr. Ashcroft is trained in conscious sedation and hospital dental care. His specialized training uniquely qualifies him to treat pediatric patients with gentle and understanding care. He is a member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, and Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Dr. Ashcroft is a devoted husband and father of three young daughters. He understands your concerns as a parent and will treat your children as he would treat his own. He is fluent in Spanish and has completed several dental mission trips with his family including Honduras, rural Guatemala, and Ecuador to treat children with extreme dental needs. Dr. Ashcroft is very service oriented and he is actively involved with his local church where he has served in different capacities.
Things to know about “Dr. Jason”:
He loves sports and will attend almost any sporting event. He especially loves baseball, which he played at the collegiate level. He played in four World Series including the Connie Mack World Series, two NAIA Collegiate World Series, and the NBC World Series. He also was a volunteer assistant baseball coach at a high school while attending dental school. He loves the outdoors, and taking his children camping and fishing. But his most cherished time is relaxing at home watching animated movies with his family.
Dr. Keya Patel was born and raised in central New Jersey where she grew up loving the snow, New York pizza, and the Jersey Shore. At the age of 16, her family moved to Allen, Texas, where she finished high school and fell in love with the sun!
She received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from University of the Pacific in California. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, where she graduated with high honors, distinctions in research and teaching, and an induction to Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Keya fell in love with pediatrics, and went on to specialize in pediatric dentistry at UT Health San Antonio. Her pediatric dentistry training has prepared her to care for children, from infanthood to adolescence, including children with special healthcare needs. She trained extensively in oral conscious sedation, hospital dentistry, dental trauma, behavior management, and all aspects of routine pediatric care. Dentistry can be very daunting for children, and she believes in safe, healthy, and positive dental experiences that can transcend through adulthood.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, and American Association of Women Dentists.
In her free time, Dr. Keya loves spending time with her family and friends, playing volleyball, traveling to new places, and watching movies. She is fluent in 3 languages, and always striving to learn more! In the future, Dr. Keya hopes to be actively involved in dental mission trips and expand her reach to children in rural areas.
